Unity Starts With You

Join the National Association of RC&D Councils on our “Unity Starts with You” Tour!

Our program is designed to counter discrimination, bias and hate through immersive exhibits, compelling speakers, curated curriculum access, valuable resources, and powerful real-life narratives. We’re diving into historical prejudices head-on, talking about racism, xenophobia, antisemitism, Islamophobia, and the mistreatment of indigenous peoples.

The heart of our journey is all about making everyone feel included. With the Hate Ends Now Movement, we’re using a replica WWII cattle car to create a mobile learning space. Inside is a multimedia exhibit where you can learn all about the hatred and bias that fueled the Holocaust.

Our program lines up with the U.S. National Strategy to Counter Antisemitism, Islamophobia, and other forms of bias. We’re teaming up with the USDA’s Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships, local schools, colleges, and universities to empower students and build allyship. Students will have meaningful conversations, gain understanding, and feel a shared responsibility to make the future better for everyone.

Our College Ambassadors from NARCDC are on a mission to break down barriers for underserved rural communities. They’re creating paths for others to join us in creating a future without discrimination and bias. Together, let’s build bridges of understanding and unity!
