The Ten Great Walks in the Treasure Valley
Southwest Idaho RC&D
Creation of a guide to the major trails of the Treasure Valley in Idaho to inspire folks to get outside and use the terrific outdoor resources in our communities.
You can see a copy of the Guide’s cover below.
This 2012 project had an estimated total value of $20,000.
Thirty-thousand guides were printed at a cost of about $0.33 each. National Park Service, local County grants as well as contributions from our partners provided the necessary funds for this project. A regional newspaper included the guide as an insert in one of their issues to facilitate the distribution of the guide. Over all, this project increased outdoor recreation activities for health and attracted visitors to our local communities. This guide has helped the local economy.
