Jim Hall - North Central RC&D Association
Mr. Hall is a fantastic addition to the RC&D Hall of Fame because of his tremendous commitment to the expansion of the RC&D Program in Minnesota. He worked tirelessly with community organizations, interested individuals, and RC&D Councils in his home state to create the Laurentian RC&D Council in 1996. For the next decade, he guided the council, serving as the council chair and president and reaching out to other organizations to bring them under the RC&D partnership umbrella.
One particularly noteworthy project he led was the Renewable Energy Clean Air Project in International Falls, Minnesota. The project is tailored to fit the needs and capabilities of small rural towns and uses organic feedstock to generate energy. Thanks to his championing of this tremendously successful project, he was able to bring national attention to the RC&D Program.
Mr. Hall also served as the president of the Minnesota Association of RC&D Councils from 2005 to 2007 and led the coordination of councils throughout the state. Since 2007, he has remained active in Laurentian RC&D Council, taking a special interest in natural resource quality and renewable energy.
